Alan Seidman, 63, of Hollywood, Florida passed away August 11, 2022. Beloved husband of Jeany (Jeanette) Cohnen for 24 years and dear brother of Lisa Seidman.

Alan Seidman, the esteemed former Professor and Chair of the Hospitality College at the Johnson & Wales North Miami campus, is remembered with great reverence. His distinguished career was marked not only by his exceptional academic contributions but also by his unfailing kindness and remarkable generosity. Dr. Seidman’s enduring legacy continues to resonate profoundly among his esteemed colleagues and the countless students who had the privilege of benefiting from his mentorship.

Alan Seidman, the brains behind Affordable College Prep, was on a mission – a mission so noble, even his textbooks were in awe! He dreamt of helping students from lower-income backgrounds make wise, wallet-friendly college choices and conquer higher education using our coaching and resources.

Even though Alan might’ve left us for that great library in the sky, his mission lives on! We’re carrying his academic torch forward because, let’s face it, what better way to honor him, his grand mission, and his life than by making college affordable, one witty student at a time?
